SCS facilitates a professional pressure test facility available for rental to clients requiring independent, third-party verification of their subsea equipment. Whether you are validating a new product design, qualifying components for a specific depth rating, or stress-testing assemblies before offshore deployment, the facility we use provides a controlled, professionally managed environment for accurate, repeatable results.
The chamber is rated to 600 bar (equivalent to a water depth of 6,000 metres) and can accommodate a wide range of subsea components and assemblies.
A rapid open/close mechanism reduces turnaround time between tests, improving efficiency and reducing costs where multiple test cycles are required.
The chamber is fitted with three electrical ports, enabling functional testing of active systems throughout the pressurisation process – not just before and after. This allows verification of the performance of cameras, lights, sensors and other electronic systems under simulated deep-sea conditions in real time.
Available electrical testing under pressure includes:
An internal camera can be installed during testing to provide live visual monitoring of the equipment under test, giving engineers direct insight into how systems behave as pressure increases.
Every test is conducted by an experienced team and documented in a detailed test report that covers all critical parameters, including the maximum pressure achieved, hold times, and ramp rates. Reports are suitable for use in product qualification, compliance documentation and client-facing deliverables.
Tests are carried out by third-party partner.
Subsea pressure testing is relevant across a range of sectors and applications:
The facility combines a high-specification pressure chamber with an experienced technical team and a straightforward rental process. Working to your test requirements and providing full documentation, tests are turned around efficiently, minimising disruption to your development or delivery schedule.
To discuss your pressure testing requirements, get in touch, and we will confirm whether your equipment and test parameters are a fit for the facility.
