The Cable Mould Repair Kit is a reusable, field-deployable mould kit for producing waterproof polyurethane splices on unarmoured subsea data cables. Purpose-built for micro-circular connectors, it puts cable repair and low-volume manufacture capability directly in the hands of the operator, meaning no factory turnaround, no disposable kits and no downtime waiting on requisition.
Subsea cable failures currently force teams into one of two comprises: send the cable back to the factory and lose weeks to lead time, or reuse a disposable splice kit that was never designed for repeat use, degrading with every cycle and putting joint quality at risk.
The Cable Mould removes both compromises. It’s compact enough for ROV and AUV payload bays or a vessel’s kit bag, produces a waterproof RTV polyurethane splice on-site, and is engineered for indefinite reuse in demanding offshore environments.
Cover Every Diameter With One Mould
Standard inserts cover 7-12mm cable diameters (7, 8, 9, 10, 12mm as standard). For anything outside that range, users can drill blank inserts on-site to match any non-standard cable diameter, without modifying the mould body itself. It’s a faster, cheaper, and more flexible approach than any competitor solution on the market, and it means one kit covers your full range of cable diameters rather than a single fixed size.
